Problems that should be paid attention to in the fermentation of organic fertilizer

Both the technological process and the operation process of the fermentation system will produce secondary pollution, pollute the natural environment, and affect people’s normal life.

Pollution sources such as odor, sewage, dust, noise, vibration, heavy metals, etc. During the design process of the fermentation system, proper measures must be taken to prevent and control secondary pollution.

-Dust prevention and equipment

In order to prevent dust generated from the processing equipment, a dust removal device should be installed.

-Vibration prevention and equipment

In the fermentation equipment, the vibration can be generated by the impact of the material in the crusher or the unbalanced rotation of the rotating drum. The way to reduce vibration is to install a vibration isolation board between the equipment and the base, and make the foundation as large as possible. Especially in places where the ground is soft, the machine should be installed after understanding the geological situation in advance.

-Noise prevention and equipment

Measures should be taken to prevent and control the noise generated from the fermentation system.

-Sewage treatment equipment

Sewage treatment equipment mainly treats domestic sewage from storage silos, fermentation silos and processing equipment during operation, as well as auxiliary buildings.

-Deodorization equipment

The odor generated by the fermentation system mainly includes ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, amine, etc. Therefore, measures must be taken to prevent and control the generation of odor. Generally, odor directly affects human health. Therefore, deodorizing measures can be taken according to people’s sense of smell.

The fermentation process of organic compost is actually a process of metabolism and reproduction of various microorganisms. The metabolic process of microorganisms is the process of decomposition of organic matter. The decomposition of organic matter will inevitably produce energy, which promotes the composting process, increases the temperature, and can also dry the wet substrate.

During the compost production process, the pile should be turned if necessary. Generally, it is carried out when the temperature of the pile exceeds the peak and begins to drop. Turning the pile can remix the substances with different decomposition temperatures in the inner and outer layers. If the humidity is insufficient, add some water to promote the uniform maturity of the compost.

Common problems and solutions in organic fertilizer fermentation:

-Slow heating up: the stack does not rise up or rises slowly

Possible causes and solutions

1. The raw materials are too wet: add dry materials according to the ratio of the materials and then stir and ferment.

2. The raw material is too dry: add water according to the humidity or keep the moisture content at 45% -53%.

3. Insufficient nitrogen source: add ammonium sulfate with high nitrogen content to maintain the carbon-nitrogen ratio at 20:1.

4. The pile is too small or the weather is too cold: pile the pile high and add easily degradable materials such as corn stalks.

5. pH is too low: when the pH is less than 5.5, lime or wood ash can be added and mixed semi-uniformly and adjusted.

-The pile temperature is too high: the pile temperature during the fermentation process is greater than or equal to 65 degrees Celsius.

Possible causes and solutions

1. Poor air permeability: turn the stack regularly to increase the aeration of the fermentation stack.

2. The pile is too large: reduce the size of the pile.

-Solid-liquid separation treatment process:

The solid-liquid separator is an environmentally friendly equipment specially developed for pig farms. It is suitable for washing manure with water, dry manure cleaning and blister manure. Set up after the manure collection tank and before the biogas tank can effectively prevent the blockage of biogas siltation, reduce the solid content of the biogas tank effluent, and reduce the processing load of subsequent environmental protection facilities. Solid-liquid separation is one of the environmental protection facilities of pig farms. Regardless of the treatment process used, it must start with solid-liquid separation.
